What our patients say about us:
Have you ever wondered how acupuncture helps ease pain?
It's like a natural reset button for your body.
Here's a straightforward way to understand it:
Target Problem Areas for FAST Painless Results:
Imagine your body as a map with specific points linked to different areas of pain or discomfort. Acupuncture involves gently placing tiny needles at these points. It's like hitting the right keys on a keyboard to send a message to your computer.
Activate You Body's Natural Painkillers:
When these needles are placed, your body responds by releasing its own pain-relieving chemicals. Think of it like your body having its own medicine cabinet that it opens up to help you feel better.
Improved Circulation for Healing That Lasts:
Acupuncture also helps by increasing blood flow to the affected areas. More blood means more oxygen and nutrients, which are like fuel and repair tools for your body's cells. It's like fixing a roadblock in a busy city – once the block is cleared, everything flows smoothly again.
Instant Relief from Stress and Anxiety:
Besides physical pain, acupuncture is great at lowering stress levels. When you're stressed, your body is tense, which can make pain worse. Acupuncture helps relax your muscles and mind, similar to how you feel calmer after a good, deep breath.
Improve Your Vital Organ Function:
The goal of acupuncture is to bring balance back to your body. When your body is in balance, it can heal itself more effectively. It's like tuning a guitar – when everything is in harmony, it plays beautifully.
So, in simple terms, acupuncture helps your body help itself – naturally and gently. It's a time-tested way to turn down the volume on pain and bring back balance and calm to your body.

Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese medicine practice that involves inserting thin needles into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow and promote healing.
Acupuncture needles are very thin, and many people report minimal to no pain during insertion. Some may feel a slight prick or tingling sensation.
Acupuncture is used for a wide range of conditions, including pain management, stress reduction, fertility issues, and more.
When performed by a licensed and trained acupuncturist, acupuncture is generally considered safe without negative side effects.
The number of sessions required depends on the individual's condition. During your consultation, our doctors will discuss best recommendations and individualized treatment plan.
Some health insurance plans may cover acupuncture. It's advisable to check with your insurance provider for details. We are out of network providers. On request we will provide you a superbill as a courtesy which you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Our services are HSA/FSA eligible.
No it really doesn't. Medicare is structured in such a way as to make it impossible for it to be a covered benefit.

Acupuncture is extremely effective for relieving pain, improving digestion, energy and sleep as well as balancing hormones and relieving stress.
It's recommended to wear loose, comfortable clothing and have a light meal before your session. Avoid caffeine and alcohol on the day of treatment.

Acupuncture can be safe and effective for children, but it should be administered by a qualified acupuncturist.
Patients use acupuncture to support weight loss efforts by addressing cravings and stress eating as well as improving metabolism and digestion.
Acupuncture should only be performed by a board certified and state licensed acupuncture physician. Dry needling is typically performed by Physical Therapists or Chiropractors with very limited training. Licensed acupuncturists have several thousand hours of training in a 4 year program. PTs and Chiros who perform dry needling only take a 100 hour weekend course.
